Dr. Richard Isaacson

Received his Bachelor Degree in General Science from the University of Iowa. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loyola University School of Dentistry. He served his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Isaacson served as Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loyola University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the Illinois and Chicago Societies of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Isaacson is an associate fellow of the American College of Oral Implantology and is certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and as an instructor in Basic Life Support. He is the former chairman of the department of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lutheran General Hospital. 

 


Dr. Barry Cherny

Received his Bachelor Degree in Biology from the University of Illinois. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois. His internship and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery were completed at the University of Illinois Hospital and Clinics, Humana-Michael Reese Medical Center, West Side Veteran’s Administration Hospital and Cook County Hospital. Dr. Cherny has performed volunteer surgery in Mexico on congenitally deformed children. He is a Diplomate of The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a fellow in the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Cherny is a member of the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and as an instructor in Basic Life Support. Dr. Cherny is the former chairman of the department of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lutheran General Hospital.

 

 

Dr. Leo Dumanis

Dr. Leo Dumanis attended Loyola University in Chicago. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. He completed his internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and served his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Boston University Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts with affiliations with West Roxbury Veterans Administration Hospital, and Jamaica Plain Veterans Administration Hospital. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Chicago Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Dumanis is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life support by the American Heart Association. He is also an instructor of basic life support.

 


Dr. Amit Patel

Dr. Amit Patel attended the University of California-Los Angeles.  He then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine, at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.  He completed a residency at the University of California, San Francisco-Fresno Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department.  Dr. Patel has extensive experience in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, TMJ surgery, orthognathic surgery, and pre-prosthetic surgery.  He has had thorough training in head and facial trauma in a level 1 trauma center, as well as head and neck benign and malignant pathology, microvascular head and neck reconstruction and cleft lip and palate. Dr. Patel is a member of the Illinois State Dental Society. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  Dr. Patel is certified by the American Heart Association as an instructor and in basic life support. He is accredited in The Advanced Cardiac Life Support.


Dr. Ajay Koya

Dr. Koya received his Bachelor Degree of Science in Neurobiology from University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.  He has completed his residency of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Dr. Koya is certified in ACLS, ATLS and BLS, and will be joining us immediately in our training programs for dentists in CPR and Basic Life Support.
